WASTE COLLECTION HELPFUL HINTS
Every working day your refuse collector picks up large volumes of waste. Plese follow these suggestions to help make collections safer and easier.
Keep It Light: Garbage bags or can should not contain more than 25kg. Tree branches should be cut into 4 foot lengths and bundled for easy pickup.
Bag The Loose Stuff: Make sure all loose materials, light plastics and bits of paper are put into bags to avoid unwanted clutter. Make sure to double bag cat litter, vacuum cleaner dust, sawdust, or pet feces.
Let It Flow: Make sure that you are able to place lids securely on the can once you have filled them. This will prevent your lids from blowing away.
Keep It Clean: Make sure you keep the waste collection site clean and tidy.
Buying A New Can? Make sure it is water tight, rust resistant metal or plastic container of circuler design, having a metal or plastic water tight cover and a smooth rim with rigid handles.
