






The Assiniboia Civic Centre was built in 1956 as a building shell for grain storage. The lobby, dressings, and arena were completed and added in 1963.
The Civic Centre is located at 120 Assiniboia Ave and 1st Street West.
The ice surface is 190 x 78 cemented
Outside dimensions of the building are 216 x 115
Seating capacity is 1,000 with standing room of 300
The facility has 6 dressing rooms
The arena includes a concession contracted from October to March annually
Booking of Ice:
Individuals are able to book ice by calling Community Services at 642-3382.
Rates:
Annual Ice rental rates are established by Council as part of the Council’s approval of the municipal budget. The approval generally occurs in June of each year.

Schedules:
The release of the annual Master Schedule occurs each year in mid-October.
Individuals are able to view the schedule weekly and for the complete game schedule. Also individuals can fan the Community Services Facebook page @ Town of Assiniboia, Recreation to obtain the weekly schedules.
Public Skating & Shinny:
Public Skating and Shinny is offered at the Assiniboia Civic Centre at least twice a week and when open available times are through the week.
Staff is on site during all public skating and shinny times. Helmets are not required, however highly recommended. Equipment not permitted during public skating includes the following: strollers, sleds, hockey sticks, pucks, and balls.

ASSINIBOIA SENIOR SOUTHERN REBELS
The Assiniboia Sr Southern Rebels is a registered member with Saskatchewan Hockey Association. The Southern Rebels are one of nine members of the Notekeu Hockey League. The team has long successful traditional both in the Notekeu Hockey League and as Provincial Champions at various levels with Hockey Saskatchewan. League play commences early-November and concludes mid-March.

ASSINIBOIA JR B SOUTHERN REBELS
The Assiniboia Junior Southern Rebels is a registered member with Saskatchewan Hockey Association. The Junior Southern Rebels are one of thirteen members of the provincial Prairie Junior Hockey League. The Junior Rebels are the southern-most representative of the league. League play commences mid-October and concludes late March.

ASSINIBOIA MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
The Assiniboia Minor Hockey Association is a registered member with Saskatchewan Hockey Association. The Association provides an opportunity for young boys and girls to experience competitive and recreational hockey for all ages. Teams from Assiniboia compete in the Wood River Minor Hockey League. The league extends from Assiniboia in the east to the United States border in the south, the Alberta border in the west, and the Trans-Canada highway to the north. The number of teams varies each year, but one can easily find teams for Tykes, Initiation, Novice, Atom, Pee Wee, Bantams, and Midgets.

ASSINIBOIA FIGURE SKATING CLUB
The Assiniboia Skating Club is a registered member Skate Canada Saskatchewan. The Assiniboia Skating Club is committed to the development and growth of skating through the promotion and delivery of programs for lifelong fun, fitness, and personal achievement.
The Assiniboia Skating Club provides the following programs to its registered members
CanSkate: Is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program for beginners of any age that teaches fundamental movements and basic skills.
CanPowerSkate: Focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance skills, all of which are especially important for hockey and ringette players
STARSkate: Offers opportunities to develop figure skating skills in four different areas.
CompetitiveSkate: Incorporates a series of tests and other training opportunities to help competitors with potential to advance.

ASSINIBOIA RECREATION HOCKEY
In Assiniboia, recreation hockey currently consists of one adult team - Assiniboia Rec'ers. The Rec'ers play exhibition games in Assiniboia and other surrounding communities. Team plays approximately 2 games a week, one in Assiniboia on Thursday nights and at least one other game in a surrounding community on another night.
