Assiniboia is a bustling town located in sunny South Central Saskatchewan. The community is centrally located less than an hour and half north of border to the United States and within a short drive to the cities of Moose Jaw and Regina.
The community offers many amenities, such as our world class Shurniak Art Gallery, the Assiniboia and District Museum, the Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre (home to Southeast Regional College, the Assiniboia Library, the Assiniboia Curling Club and a beautiful modern movie theatre) and the Assiniboia Hospital to name a few.
We have all of the recreational facilities to keep you busy ... in the summer - from a nine hole golf course, to various community playgrounds, to our outdoor swimming pool, to a motor cross race track and in the winter - to our curling and skating/hockey arenas.
We have become the envy of many communities much larger than ours!
The Economic Development Board is partnering with neighbouring municipalities and developing a regional investment strategy to position us for potential investors and economic prosperity.
With its friendly people and growing services, Assiniboia is a great place to call home.
Paul Topola – Mayor of Assiniboia
