The Town of Assiniboia is very fortunate to have the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), hospital, ambulance services and a volunteer fire department right in the community.

The local RCMP detachment is made up of seven members serving Assiniboia and the surrounding district.

Assiniboia Union Hospital

Assinioia has the only hospital between Moose Jaw and the International Border. It is fully staffed and houses 17 beds.
There is an extensive care unit, emergency facility and full laboratory services, including blood analysis and x-ray.

Volunteer Fire Department

Assiniboia also has a volunteer fire department to provide emergency service any time of the day. The volunteers consist of 18 men from Assiniboia and district.
