Banner Project Walking Tour

A celebration of local creativity is ready to hit the streets — literally. Join the Assiniboia & District Arts Council, the Shurniak Art Gallery - SAG, and the Town of Assiniboia for a special Project Walking Tour as we reveal the artwork selected for the Centre Street Banner Project!
We’ll walk together to Centre Street to view the new banners, hear the story behind the project, and celebrate the artists whose work will brighten our downtown corridor. After the tour, we’ll return to the Gallery for light refreshments and community visiting.
This project is a true partnership — the Arts Council and Gallery coordinated the artist call and selection, while the Town funded production and installation of up to 20 banners. As stated in the agreement: “The purpose of this agreement is to formalize the partnership… to support the creation, production, and display of artistic street banners that celebrate local creativity and enhance the visual appeal of Assiniboia’s downtown corridor.”
Come be part of the reveal, celebrate our artists, and enjoy a summer afternoon filled with creativity and community spirit.
