Our community’s official Emergency Management Plan is now accessible to the public. This document outlines how the Town of Assiniboia prepares for, responds to, and recovers from emergencies — and how residents can play an active role in community readiness.

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS
Your emergency kit should be easy to grab so you can act quickly when something is happening in our area. Staying informed is just as important — and the Town of Assiniboia uses several trusted tools to keep residents updated during local emergencies.
Voyent Alert! – Community Notifications
The Town of Assiniboia uses Voyent Alert! to share timely, location‑based updates during local emergencies or service disruptions. This system allows us to send clear, targeted messages to residents through the mobile app, text message, email, or voice call.
Voyent Alert! is used for:
- Localized emergency updates
- Water or utility disruptions
- Evacuation information or shelter‑in‑place notices
- Community‑wide safety messages
Residents can choose how they want to receive alerts and can follow multiple locations — such as home, work, or a family member’s address — to stay informed wherever they are.

SaskAlert
Download the SaskAlert app for iOS or Android to receive real‑time information about critical events. Alerts answer key questions such as:

Alert Ready – National Public Alerting System
Alert Ready is Canada’s emergency alerting system. Alert Ready delivers critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians through television, radio and LTE-connected and compatible wireless devices. The Alert Ready system was developed with many partners, including federal, provincial and territorial emergency management officials, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Pelmorex, the broadcasting industry and wireless service providers. Together, these partners work to ensure Canadians receive alerts immediately and know when to take action to stay safe.
