Olympia Theatre is located inside the Prince of Wales Cultural & Recreation Centre. 

This is a fund raiser, our annual Marathon of Hope for cancer research started in memory of Terry Fox. On one good leg and an artificial leg he ran a marathon every day - 26 miles or more - from St. John's NL to Thunder Bay, ON. He ran a distance of 3,339 miles (5,374 kilometers) from April 12 - September 1, 1980.

He hoped to raise one dollar from every citizen in Canada - he aimed for 24 million dollars. As of April, 2015, The Terry Fox Run has raised $700 million for cancer research. 

Register and hand in your donation (and pledges you may have) from 1:30 to 1:55 p.m. on the Southland Coop Grocery parking lot. Then if you can, run, walk, bike, even skateboard the route with us. Do it for your loved ones touched by cancer. Do it for Terry Fox.

Finish where we started in front of Southland Co-op. Have an ice cream treat, donated by the Co-op. You'll be among friends!
